2. What data we process

This site is a purely editorial information offering. There is no registration, no comment function, no contact form, no newsletter, no user account.

The following data is nevertheless processed for technical reasons:

  • Server log files: When you visit the site, the web server records IP address, date, time, requested page, referrer and user agent. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in operation and security). Retention: 7 days, then automatic deletion.
  • Technically necessary cookies: A single local browser entry (cc) stores your cookie preference. Without your consent, no further cookies are set. Legal basis: §25(2)(2) TTDSG.
  • News cache: Current headlines are fetched hourly from public RSS feeds of German media outlets and cached server-side. No user data is stored.

3. External links and resources

The site links to articles from external media (including Handelsblatt, Tagesschau, Bundesbank, ECB, Deutsche Welle). When you click such a link, you are redirected to the respective provider's site. Their privacy policies apply to data processing there.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), images from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com) and favicons of news sources via Google's favicon service (google.com/s2/favicons). In doing so, your browser's IP address is transmitted to the respective providers. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f). Local hosting is being evaluated.

4. No analytics, no advertising

This site uses no analytics tools such as Google Analytics, no advertising cookies, no retargeting, no social media plugins. No profiling takes place.

Note: As soon as audience measurement or advertising tags are added, this section will be updated and consent obtained accordingly.

5. Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • Access to stored data (GDPR Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (GDPR Art. 16)
  • Erasure (GDPR Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (GDPR Art. 18)
  • Data portability (GDPR Art. 20)
  • Objection to processing (GDPR Art. 21)
  • Withdrawal of consent with future effect (GDPR Art. 7(3))

To exercise your rights, contact kontakt@silberpfad.net.

6. Right to complain
